Marina Spivak
Marina Spivak was born in 1955 in Leningrad. In 1977, she graduated from the V. Serov Leningrad State Art College, specializing in sculpture. Since 1986, she has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. She worked in San Francisco as a participant in the art-ecological project All for One Earth, in Birmingham at the sculpture department of the Polytechnic College (bronze casting, lectures on the St. Petersburg school of sculpture), and in Paris with Serge Planter.
Her works are held in the State Russian Museum, the Yaroslavl Art Museum, the Anna Akhmatova Museum at the Fountain House, and the Ministry of Culture of Russia. Her books are in the library of the National Museum in London, the National Library of Paris, the Children’s Library of Madame Leveque (Paris), and in Helsinki, as well as in private collections in Russia and other countries. She has been exhibiting since 1977.
