Polina Rukavichkina
Polina Rukavichkina (b. 1995, Minsk, Belarus) is an artist and photographer who explores themes of vulnerability, collective trauma, coming of age, and identity formation. She is the author of the photographic projects Melting Armour (2022—2024) and Luty (2022—2024).
Her first solo exhibition, Melting Armour, took place at the ART4 Museum (2024). She is a participant in the grant program of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art (2023), the "Bolshie Shatnovichi" residency (Flor et Lavr Gallery, 2024), the Futuro Air residency (2024), and the Garage Museum Workshops residency (2023). She is a nominee for the international Leica Oscar Barnack Award (2022). She graduated from the Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia (2021). She lives and works in Moscow.
