Gelya Pisareva
Galina Pisareva introduces herself as Gelya and signs her works using that name. This name, used on the paintings and sculptures she creates, demonstrates the warmth of motherly charm which is always present in her artwork.
Sculptor, painter, graphic artist Gelya Pisareva was born in Leningrad in 1933. Graduated from the Saint Petersburg Art School named after Nicholas Roerich and the Institute of Art, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin by the USSR Academy of Arts.

The works of Gelya Pisareva are part of the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art (Moscow), the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the State Museum of Urban Sculpture, as well as the Collection of Modern Art of the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" (St. Petersburg), St. Petersburg Museum of Toys, St. Petersburg Museum of Dolls, Tyumen Regional Museum of Fines Arts and private collections in Russia and abroad.
