Laziza Tulaganova
The caracters of Laziza Tulaganova’s paintings, living in modern city apartments or in cozy houses of a traditional mahalla, enter into a silent dialogue with the world and with the accidental spectator. Offering the viewer simple everyday subjects, but comprehending them philosophically, Laziza provides a kind of guide for understanding the works with the help of figurative titles and expressive silhouette.
Laziza Tulaganova was born in 1997 in Tashkent. She graduated from the faculty of easel painting (workshop of Shavkat Khakimov) at the Republican Art College named after Benkov, as well as from the faculty of easel painting (workshop of Javlon Umarbekov) of the National Institute of Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod. She continues her studies for masters degree. Laziza was a member of CCALAB educational laboratory at the Center of Contemporary Art in Tashkent, which was working on the first ever Uzbek pavilion at the architectural biennale in Venice.
