Anna KondratYeva
Anna Kondratyeva (b. 1994) is a multidisciplinary artist from Astana, Kazakhstan. She graduated from Moscow State University and Joseph Bakstein’s Institute of Contemporary Art. Participant of international and Russian exhibitions. Graduate of the 5th season of the Winzavod Open Studios. Lives and works in Moscow.
In her artistic practice, she explores the theme of time in the broadest sense. In some projects, such as „Stealing Beauty“, she captures and reflects objects and phenomena that can simultaneously be instantaneous and permanent, inspired by the Japanese concept of mono-no-aware - the admiration of the fading of things.

Another vector of time research in Anna’s practice is an appeal to collective memory and phenomena that can transform meanings, but persist from generation to generation. For example, in her latest project about late millennials (the artist considers herself one too), Anna develops the theme of a common cultural code for people with an unknown local identity, but a certain generational identity.
