Valery Bytka
Valery Bytka is a Petersburg sculptor of Moldovan origin. He received an education as a drama director and dedicated several years to theater. He made his debut as a sculptor in 1993. Since then, Bytka has been completely immersed in sculpture for more than thirty years.
His passion for the art of stone carving, which arose in his youth under the influence of the skill of Moldavian stone carvers, became decisive for him. Studying artistic threads from the St. Petersburg sculptor Dmitry Verdiyanu, he mastered the intricacies of working with stone. The creative method of Valery Bytka is based on the Moldavian traditions of stone carving and on the pictorial technique of conveying shapes with color.

Participant of international and Russian exhibitions, his works are in the collection of the State Russian Museum, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
